And that's why I want to use an even-related genealogy package.

We do have the possible types of events in the marriage context:

- the promise to marriage (public engagement, ...)
- the marriage (related to a specific community: the civil municipality,
the catholic parish, ...)
- living together or not (personal relation)
- residing together or not (as declared to a specific administration)
- the divorce (again related to a specific community: the civil
municipality, the catholic parish, ...)
- the death of one of the two

If we create and document each event, then we can "follow".

I do have very complex situations in my genealogy, but once you stick with
the events, then you can easily see what was happening, without any moral
judgement.

Imagine the following contexts:
- marriage, when one of two is in prison
- man and wife do have different religions and don't want to choose
- man and wife are living together, but one of them must for some
professional reasons legaly reside in an other town
- etc ...

Greetings,

Luc
