I expect that memos and such are not translated, but it appears words such as married and died and birth are also not translated. For example:

Salut John,
I don't know much about the Netherlands translation, but I'm the
compiler of the Norwegian3 language table, and I'll try to help you. But
before that I must ask you to turn off the HTML in your mail to this
list, as the digest mode can't handle it.

Actually, selecting a different language from the default is only the
first step. The Dutch translation table isn't even complete; you must
edit to your own needs. The second step is to edit the default tag
sentence of each tag that you use. For instance the Marriage tag, you
press F4 to open the tag list. Select Marriage, and then Edit. In the
bottom of the tag box, you see the sentence which reads:

"[P] married [PO] <[PARO]> <[D]> <[L]>"

Now, change the word "married" to whatever the word is in Dutch. If this
yields a syntactically bad sentence in your language, you may have to
reconstruct the sentence by shuffling the variables around a bit. In
some of the more complex tags, this task can be quite taxing. However,
you'll get the hang of it eventually.

regards,
