IMHO, TMG has two principal advantages -- one is this list, and the active
participation on it of long time users, not to mention the developer.. So
we are not alone.

The second, more important advantage, is that TMG is still under the active
control of its author, Bob Velke.

There is a downside. TMG is produced in a small shop, to high
standards. This means that we have had to wait a long time for some basic
changes. But as this week shows, when he can Bob keeps us informed.

This is a rare, but not unheard of, thing for Bob to do -- release a "beta"
to the public -- and announce in advance that he is not yet satisfied with
the product.
