Yes, I'd advise you try that. By trial-and-error, you should be able to find
a "dummy" Gedcom tag that you don't use and that imports your data into the
correct fields. After importing to a TMG data set, you can create your
custom tag and then use John Cardinal's utility (thanks, John!) to change
the dummy tag into your custom tag.
