Nick,
I used to do that and I think most of my fellow TMG'ers disagreed
with me. I felt that if someone else did the research, they should
be my source. But, I was hearing loud and clear, if they sent copies
of the document, the document is the source, then you can give the
person credit for supplying it to you. Then I asked -- but what if
they just tell you about it without sending a copy -- are they the
source? Slap! A good genealogist will get a copy. Guess that
answered that question. :-) But -- unless I go and get the copies
for myself, or check for myself the material given to me -- I
*always* tell where I got it -- giving credit where credit is due --
in case they made a mistake. :-)
I think this is what they were telling me. Jump right it in if I am
wrong again!
