Subject: [TMG] Enhancement Request--P2 surety when adding spouse
Date: Mon, 03 Jul 2000 14:25:03 -0500
This is a very minor enhancement request, but one that I think could save a
lot of keystrokes and mouseclicks; I wonder if other users think it would
make sense:
When you add a spouse, after you save the initial information about the new
person, a screen appears for a marriage tag citing the same source as was
used for the initial information. The same surety is assigned to P1 as was
entered on the previous screen. It seems to me that the same default
surety should be given to P2. I almost always add this P2 surety manually,
and can think of only a few cases where a source for a marriage would not
have the same surety for P1 and P2.
As things now stand, the default P1 surety doesn't save me any time, since
I have to open the source screen to add a surety to P2 in any case. If
defaults were provided for P1 and P2, I could simply save the marriage tag
without opening the source.
I assume this would be an easy change to implement. Do others think it
would be logical?

P.S. I'm excited about the switch to Rootsweb, as I was unable to post to
the list when it was on DOIT!
