This is just what I have been trying to do. I thought I could put the
Access table information into Custodian and then export to a .ged file, and
then import to a family history programme.

Preparing the text file after Access export was fiddly (largely because my
Access database was designed for another purpose and was over complicated
for family history purposes). The import to Custodian was dead simple, but
I am stuck with the export to GEDCOM. I have emailed their Custodian
support to see what I'm doing wrong and will keep you posted.

An import from a commercial database format would be really useful - not
just for one name studies. For various reasons I collect people connected
by geographical proximity or who are of similar status. I then want to link
them up into families - and it's just so obvious to do this in TMG.
