I think I have solved part of the WP problem. I began to realize that the
freezing seemed to occur with one genealogy format report definition when I
selected endnotes and footnotes. It is my favorite form with all the options
and focus I want and I use it over and over. I went back and recreated it and
the freezing problems seems to have stopped. I do get crazy fonts in WP 6-8,
but WP5.2 works fine. I guess my form had become corrupted.

Thanks to Paul E. Lawrence for telling me I had to be in DRAFT mode to end
the endnotes and generate an index. I never would have figured that out.

Also thanks to John Clement for pointing out you can have unique endnotes in
a WP report if you select that option in your report definition. They are
text rather than "live" endnotes but they cut a list of over 170 endnotes
down to 28 in one report so worth the trade-off.
