If I want to do a journal (narrative) type report to include only the line
from me back to a particular ancestor, is that possible?

Conversley, can I do a narrative report from the farthest back ancestor of a
particular surname to me?

I know this is betraying the fuzziness of my thinking here. Is there
anywhere to be found a guide such as: for this type of report (with
examples), do such and such? I know the answer is going to be that there
are too many options to accomplish this, but some of us need to attend
Report Filter 101, and I don't know where to sign up.
