Ken ~
Checked out the sites for Begeman's method last night. Although very
detailed, I did not see that it would give me the type of information I
desire to create a road map of those living in a particular area in a census
year - the dwelling/family (and maybe page) is the sort I need for each
census year in Beaufort Co, NC. Since so many of my maternal families stayed
there, my dataset is almost a one County study instead of a one Name study.
When I combine the Census information with deeds, I get a better idea of who
moved and where and who didn't. As Lee said, TMG was not designed with this
in mind. But maybe....
Your suggestion gives me an excellent example of what is possible.

: For census data, there is I believe a more complete way to enter the
: data in TMG. It uses Diana Begeman's method of census keeping.

: This is a sample memo sentence from one entry for 1860:
: Benjamin is listed as a 33 year old male farmer. His real estate is
: valued at $1200 and his personal estate at $305. He was born in New
: Hampshire. || B.F. Reed
: This method uses every scrap of data from the census to paint a
: picture. I like it because when I want to know what a census said
: about a person, I know exactly. It takes some leatning, but when I
: open a person view for the head of household I can see who was listed
: with that person for each and every sentence in which he/she was head.
: I hope you give it a look.
