Subject: [TMG] Event Memo
Date: Fri, 1 Sep 2000 21:17:23 -0700
My first, but surely not my last call for help.
And, I think there will be a simple answer.
I printed out a complete UFTree Family Group Report
for one man, including everything, even footnotes.
I imported that database into TMG.
I printed a TMG Family Group Sheet and Endnotes for the same man.
Among the many choices, I chose to have UFTree Event
Text to become an Event Memo in TMG.
The Event Memos (UFT Event Text) did not print.
Yes, the memo is there, behind the event.
Here is the first portion of one memo.
Head, male, age 26-45||||The 1800 US Census Record for John Kitts listed
John as age 26-45.
Four pipes?
There is no [M] in that event text.
Do I need to add the [M] in order to print that text?
Help button: "Variables (Event Tags)"
"Therefore, if you are using the memo field for information
you want to include in end-or footnotes, do not include
the [M] in your sentence and be sure to check the option
to embed the memo as a footnote or endnote when you
print report(s)."
I don't care where the text appears on a Family Group Sheet.
After the children, as in UFT, or in the endnotes. But I do
want to see that text. This is where I store all sorts of
information useful to have with me when I am out at a repository.
Thank you all,
Maggie Kitts
