To Myrnice, Paul, and another sweet person who emailed privately:
Thank you. You are all in the same ball park.
Let's see if I can join you there.
In UFT: Individual Record, Event Edit Screen for the event
"1830 Event for John Kitts".
(line) Details Head Age/Sex, "Head, male, age 70-80" was entered.
Same Event Edit Screen, Text button on the lower right,
I entered, "The 1830 US Census Records for John Kitts include
himself in the 70-80 age group and a female in the same age group,
presumably his wife, Cathryn Culin."
On an UFT Family Group Report,
in the list of events below John's name is
"cens: 2 Aug 1790 Head Age/Sex Head, male, age 16 and up"
After the children are listed, is
"Event Text: census 1830 event on 1 Jun 1830.
The 1830 US Census Records for John Kitts include himself
in the 70-80 age groaup and a female in the same age group,
presumably his wife, Cathryn Culin."
I deleted the TMG project and reimported the project from UFT.
The "Transferring data from Ultimate Family Tree . . .Genbridge"
tells me that Event Text will import as Event memo.
When I imported, the choices I made in the TMG
Publication Screen, Research Notes, were
Individual research Notes Import as a NOTE tag
Event Research Notes Import as a memo to the event
The KITTS.LST report (after the import) said,
"Event Research Notes: Import as a memo to the event."
In TMG, I next went to the record of John Kitts.
I double clicked on the event "Census 1830."
I clicked on the Sentence button.
The Sentence Structure: (default) box said:
[RF:Head of Family] was listed as the head of a family
on the 1830 census <[L]>. <[M3].
I clicked the Memo button.
The Memo box said:
"Head, male, age 70-80||||The 1830 US Census Records
for John Kitts include himself in the 70-80 age group and
a female in the same age group presumably his wife, Cathryn Culin."
Everything looks pretty good, yes?
When I print a TMG Report, Family Group Sheet
(not the TMG Report, CRW Family Group Sheet but the plain
vanilla TMG Report, Family Group Sheet)
all of the information does not print.
I choose Publication Tools, Memos, Embedded,
I get "Head, male, age 70-80".
If I remove all four of the pipes, ||||, and chose, Publication Tools,
Memos, Embedded, I get the entire text, of both memos,
"Head . . .Culin".
But I don't want to have to edit all of the events of all individuals
in order to have this print. Who has that much time?
And, where did the extra blank memo 2 between || and || come from?
Any suggestions? I'm listening.
