You need to remove the "reply to" information in your mail program as it
causes replys to be sent to you instead of the TMG-L list.
First DO NO REMOVE THE DOUBLE PIPES. They are put there so the sentences
structures that are created when the transfer takes place will find the data
in the correct location.
Normally the first field in the details is from "Detail A" in UFT, the
second is from "Detail B" in UFT and the third is from the text field in
UFT. That said, you may have changed the data in the three fields by
changing the default locations where Bob had the data going.
There is a file in the TMGW folder named UFT2TMG.PDF that you can print out
using Adobe Acrobat that describes where each data field in UFT is placed in
TMG. This may clear up some of the questions that arise about what is where.
The data is printing out based on the sentence structure for each of the
events that print. If you double click on the event and there is nothing
showing beside the "Sentence" radio button then the output is based on the
default sentence structure. This can be viewed on each event by clicking the
"Sentence" radio button. However if you want to change the default, do not
do it in the individual event as this will only override the default for
this one event. All of the other events of this type will still be using the
default. In order to do this Click on "Add - Tag" and this will bring up a
list of all of the default tags in your data. Select the tag you wish to
change and click on the List Maintenance - Edit radio button and the default
for that tag will appear. Any changes you make will change all occurrences
of that tag except the ones that you have manually changed in the individual
events. The use of the memo variables [M], [M1], [M2].... [Mn] should always
be conditional with the <> around them in case there is no data transfered
from UFT. I would suggest that any period or comma that you wish to place
between fields be placed in the following manner: "all other variables"
<[. M1]><, [M3]><. [M2]> : do not place any period or comma at the end as
TMG takes care of that for you and if you also do it you will get two
periods or a comma period. Any comma or preiod placed after the variable
field is subject to the duplication as the following fields may not have any
data and be skipped by TMG.
I hope this is clear.
