The use of TMG assigned ID numbers has been discussed on the list previously.
The very important caution to remember is that TMG can reassign these numbers
under certain options, thus eliminating the cross referencing you set up.
Secondly, if you create two datasets and use the TMG assigned numbers you'll
have a conflict with your manual system due to duplications, and then later
should you decide to merge or produce some type of joint reports there will be
confusion.
You should review past messages in the archives for recommendations about using
the ID numbers beyond their internal TMG functions before proceeding on any plan
to use them for other id purposes.
