I have been using the F3 and CNTRL F3 for copying, editing the copied CD and
then saving. I hope I haven't goofed. Here is what I do: (1) I open a tag
entry screen (2) I click on the + (plus) button at the citation entry
area. This opens the citation entry screen and the source # window is ready
for entry. (3) I use CNTRL F3 and choose a source which usually has a CD.
(4) I edit the CD as needed for the new entry and click OK, then OK again
and its all over. So far I haven't noticed any problem.

Am I in any danger of data loss with this method?
