All,
Just a quick note to say Hi. I'm new to the list and new to TMG. I've only recently aquired my copy of TMG v 4.0 and am in the process of tranferring over 1000s of names for my Stebbing one-name study from old Access databases, excel spreadsheets and various 'lists' of names and information I have lying about. I saw TMG demostrated at a Guild of One-Name Studies http://www.one-name.org/ computer seminar. I was particularly attracted to the database search facilities (more like Access than most other genealogical software I've seen) and the CRW charts. I look forward to the long winter months ahead typing in all this data.
One problem which has arisen and which I have not yet found a satisfactory solution, is that of recording 'other' researchers' interests in my names. Is setting 'other researchers' as a tag and then using the researchers name and address as a citation the answer ?
With over 6000 names to enter and quite a few 'other' interests to note, I'd at least like to set out in the right direction and would welcome any suggestions you may have.
Many thanks
Andrew Stebbing
