Almost certainly your problem is that the _LIVING_ flag is set to "?" - you
will need to work through your data set, changing those you know to be still
with us to "Y". Maybe some kind lister can suggest a filter to
*automagically* do this for you (but I don't think that you can ever rely
100% on such a process).
