It sounds like you have the report destination set to screen (print preview) in TMG instead of to
file.

On the general tab you need to make the destination file (and change the file type to word)

| However, it was obviously a misunderstanding on my part, because I do know
| how to work with the report in Word AFTER it has been created in TMG. I
| just hoped that it would open up on the screen initially in Word format
| rather than whatever it is now (which I thought was something like PDF)
| where you have to click to get the next page and it seems to take ages to
| 'load' each page instead of just being able to scroll down as in Word.
