What Terry says is true. There are work-arounds to make your scanner work
with TMG (by manipulating which driver is to be used and where it is
loaded). However, this work-around has to be changed back each time you
wish to user your scanner for any other program. Most users do as Terry
suggests and scan outside of TMG for now. When TMG v5.0 comes out, you
will be able to scan from within TMG. But that will likely be a few weeks
or so until v5.0 is released.
