There are lots of choices, and I've never found one that does all I want.

For photo editing I use Micrografx Picture Publisher (currently using
v.8) I costs about 10% of the cost Photoshop and from all I can see does
all that Photoshop can do. At least it does far more than I'll ever need.

I like the Borderbund Multimedia Organizer. It comes with most Borderbund
publishing and photo editing software. Not only can you organize
quickly...not having to put every single photo into an album, but able to
put an entire folder in at once.

However, the neat thing about Multimedia Organizer is the ability to create
a slide show for distribution to others. It will run on either Windows or
MAC without installing any programs on the recipients machine.

I'm interested in what others have found. Always looking for something better.

More on file formats and how to preserve them in the best condition later,
if anyone is interested.
