Yes, there is. Click on the Publication Tools button of the Report
Definition Screen, then on the Memo/Sources tab. Remove the check from
Include relationship sources. Now this doesn't actually "compact" them -- it
just ignores the citations on the relationship tags. This means if you put
anything in the CD for them that's not in the Name tag citation, it will not
print.
I wish there were a way to show the citations for the relationship tags more
usefully in reports. I agree that they are important. But so far as I know,
none of the report styles used by the major journals provide a way to do
this. And I've not been able to think up a way to suggest for them to be
displayed better. So for now, I enter the citations but turn off the
printing of them in reports, thus losing much of their value.
