I will have to say that you have been lucky. I have some Heritage Quest
film copies and most of the time, the copies I have seen to be as good.
However, a few are not. In a couple of cases, I later bought NARA copies
direct and the difference was significant.

As for copies owned by a library with considerable use, I don't think that
is a fair comparison. Any film will become scratched after a lot of use.

As for the CD versions, I would cite that I had been viewing a CD copy.
