Thanks for taking the time to reproduce my problem. I am actually having the
same problem, but with endnotes, not footnotes.

I didn't think surety values had an impact on the number of notes generated (end
or foot). If ANY surety values (principals, date, place or memo) are positive
with respect to the requested value, then I would have assumed that one note per
cited source would have been generated. However, we are talking about exhibits
which don't have an explicit surety value!

I have been wondering if the problem is more to do with exhibits which are
attached to tags rather than a person. Having just removed the photo tag and
simply attached the image directly to the person, I can confirm that only ONE
image was generated in the endnotes. We appear to have found a genuine bug! We
seem to be getting one image for the tag and one for the person. Attaching the
images only to person seems to be a workaround, but many people seem to have
"photo" type tags, and hence must have the same issue?

I'll (attempt to) contact Wholly Genes, but if anyone has any other
ideas..........

Not so baffled in England.
