Hello Frank,

> I have been dabbling with other software, but TMG appears to be what I
need,
except: 99.9% of my data is Dutch, 95% of my living relatives are Dutch,
ergo I need the capacity to publish in Dutch. (But, heaven forbid, my kids
probably want this thing in English!)

TMG 4.0d is in English (screens, help, graphic user interface) the reports
(disk, HTML and paper) are possible in other languages (French, Norwegian,
Dutch, German,...). So both you and your kids will be happy!

> Does TMG speak Dutch? Or does it have the capacity for me to teach it
Dutch?

The default sentences for the tags (events) are not yet in TMG as you buy it
but John Cardinal has a utility program to import the sentences into your
project from another genealogist's sentence constructions. This sounds
difficult but only has to be done once. Besides that the utility of John has
a lot more powerful features.

> Can the sentence syntax of report output be customized by the user?

Yes it can, almost anything can be customised by the user.

If you live not to far from Belgium you can come and see for yourself April
29th in Oostmalle (North from Antwerp not to far from The Netherlands) where
the Flemish Genealogical Society will have their annual congress and where I
will have a booth showing TMG I always have a small stock of copies of TMG
so if you are convinced you can take your TMG with you...

Kind regards
Harry
