I actually LIKE capital letters, paragraph markers, and all kinds of
punctuation. But I consider them to be TOOLS, not RULES. Rules are made
to be broken, especially if they can be broken creatively. But I do want
to keep my tools. And as for "correct" spelling, do we want to end the
tug-of-war between the supporters of "judgment" vs. "judgement", and
"licence" vs."license"? Which side of the pond do we have to live on in
order to be "correct"? Personally, I prefer to choose what I think is
the best of both worlds. If you don't think we have a living, changing
language, you haven't listened to your children or grandchildren lately.
