SUBST works great in NT. I use it regularly, especially in test
situations when it's neccessary to simulate a network environment with
multiple drive letters assigned to shared resources.

Of course, a word of caution may be appropriate. Do _never_ try to
format a SUBSTed drive. The result may be interesting.
