I had not paid much attention to 'primary' except when I had two sets of
parents, two dates for death that I found, etc. Then I would select the
one that seemed to be correct and left the others as potentials. I always
thought it was just to get an age calculation, and to ensure the direct line
was correct.

I never worried about primary on anything else (census, etc.) and they
always printed out fine as in my report OPTIONS I selected ALL tags,
not just all primary. From what I understand primary has more to do
with printing restrictions like boxes, etc where only one can be printed.
I am far from an expert at this, but I have never had a problem.
