I am sure that Wholly Genes will be there because Bob Velke is teaching
three sessions on TMG (Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced). Plus I
believe there may be one or more other sessions. When Bob isn't hosting
sessions, he and others may be found at the Wholly Genes booth in the
Exhibit Hall where you can not only talk to them, but this is a focal point
for all TMG users. We TMG users tend to be a talkative bunch especially
when we are asked how we handle something in TMG. So I am sure that you
can probably get a lot of answers to your question.
I must say, however, that most answers to your question will likely be
somewhat subjective as each user handles their own data differently. On
the other hand, while you and my situations may be different, there may be
things that I do that can help you and vice versa.
More specifically to your question, a lot will depend on the quality and
quantity of data, the form and source(s) of the data, the intended purpose
of your TMG dataset, and your personal preferences. If your data is from a
few sources, and contains only the basic birth, marriage, death and burial
data, then input will go fairly quickly. If the data is from GEDCOM files
or other electronice databases created by others, this also will go fairly
quickly (although you may wish to "clean up" the resulting dtaset to take
advantage of the capabilities and flexibilities of TMG). But if the data
is from a variety of sources and types of sources, then the input will take
longer.
If you can give us more detail of your situation, some of us here may be
able to tell you what we have done in similar situations.
Hope this helps -
