I am reposting this as I have had no responses to my first effort and
would be grateful for some good ideas! I feel that I have accidentally
made a rod for my own back. I tackle the issue of wills (also probates
and codicils) in the following way: I
use a will/codicil/probate tag which records the date and place of the
event. I also record the contents of the will by placing the text in
the Citation Detail. This leaves me free to make comment on the will in
the normal memo, for instance recording the significance of the timing
of the event or of the witnesses to it etc. Then when you come to print
out the tag, the very large piece of text in the CD does not get in the
way of the flow of the tag sentences but the actual record of the
will/codicil etc is printed out in the endnote for those who want to
look at it.

This was working fine until I looked at the consequence for the
witness statements to the wills. Their tag sentences print out fine
(now that I have mastered the <[M0]> problem!). However the endnote for
the witness statement is the same as for the will tag; this means that
it prints out - again - the entirety of the will's text. Is there a
way of
inhibiting the CD print out for witness statements? I can't think of
one.

With thanks
