Darrel and Ron,
I also started getting lockups/freezeups when I migrated to TMG 4.0. I
get the same problems regardless of the version (a-d) being used. My
problem occurs when I attempt to design a report using the Custom Report
Writer, after going through the menu system by clicking Report -->
GEDCOM --> Design, TMG locks up and gives me the following error:
"Foxprow An error has occurred in your program. To keep working
anyway, click Ignore and save your work in a new file. To quit this
program, click Close. You will lose information you entered since your
last Save."
If I click Ignore or Close, I then get the following error dialog
message:
"Foxprow has caused an error in FOXBAR.FLL. Foxprow will now close. If
you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."
If I attempt to open TMG without a reboot, I get the same Foxprow errors
listed above. If I reboot, then I can get TMG to open up and operate
again, but the Reports menu is now abbreviated, with many of the default
reports missing from the menu. I can enter data, and it appears that the
data is not being compromised by the Report function errors. But the
Report function is basically not working at all, as I continue to get
the Foxprow error.
I removed the TMG and reinstalled. All report functions were then
available. However, the Foxprow error occurred again when using the
Report function and I have to go through the same process described
above (reboot).
I have doubts it's a problem with MS Outlook or MS IE, as I used both
programs prior to migrating to TMG 4.0x.

It's not just a 4.0d problem, I've had the same problem since I started
using
TMG 4.0. And it doesn't happen consistently, but usually after the
computer
has been on for a while. It's not a conflict with Outlook, I don't use
Outlook, I run AOL. It could be related to IE since I run it for
internet
browsing. Sometimes it happens when I have other applications running
(like
if I'm online and want to check out something in the database),
sometimes
there is nothing running.
Mine has never rebooted spontaneously, it simply goes to black screen,
with
some gobbledy gook blue text/graphics along the very top, and the
computer
completely frozen, can't even CTRL-ALT-DEL out, have to hit the reset
button
on the computer.
Know, you are not the only one that has had this problem.
