Hi, Don:

You probably meant your comment as a rhetorical question, but I am going to
respond otherwise. That doesn't mean I didn't understand it the way you
probably meant it.

I am one of the UFT refugees that came to TMG. Like many others, I am very
glad to have a refuge like TMG to flee to. Also, I think, like most others,
I have found the switch to be difficult. I'm not talking about my data.
GenBridge is an extraordinary product, and worked beyond my wildest
imaginations. I am, rather, looking at differences in ways of doing things
that, to me, require thoughtful planning and conscious decisions. Many
others can just dive in and make things work. I am not one of those. I need
to *understand* the implications of the decisions I am making about style,
format, etc.

The move from v.4 to v.5, from my limited perspective, undoubtedly will
include major changes in presentation and organization. How else does one
explain the delay caused by beta testers' input? That being the case, I
regard the effort that I would put into tweaking each detail in how *I*
would use v.4 to be a bit of a waste. For many other users, that would not
be true.

So I am more than passingly concerned about the delivery date of v.5. I am
neither panicking over it being late, nor getting angry about
communication; but sooner would be better than later, all else being equal,
and more communication would be better than less. Still, there are other
things to do. One of them is research using pencil and paper and microfilm.
