First, let me caution you about adding Custom Source Elements. Be sure
that you understand that a Source Element is really just an alias for a
Source Group. Also a Source Group may only be used once in a Source
Category/Type and/or Source Definition Screen. With this in mind, if you
add a Custom Source Element to a Source Group and another Source Element
belonging to that Source Group is already used in the Source Category/Type
and/or Source Definition Screen, then you will receive an error
message. Thus adding a lot of Custom Source Elements is not
recommended. However, the capability to add a Custom Source Element is a
very useful feature of TMG. Just use the feature wisely.

You may add a Source Element as follows:
- Select Tools=>Master Source List from the top menu.
- Open a Source Definition Screen. This may be a new Source or an
existing one.
- Click on one of the blank buttons in lower half of the Source
Definition Screen (General tab) to display the Source Elements window.
- Click on the New button to add a Custom Source Element.
- Enter the name of the Custom Source Element in the Element Name
field.
- Highlight the appropriate Element Group to which the above
entered Element Name should be added.
- Click on the OK button.

If the added Custom Source Element is a member of a Source Group which has
_not_ already been used in this Source Definition Screen, then it will now
appear on the Source Elements listing. If it is assigned to a Source
Group which has already been used in this Source Definition Screen, then
the newly added Custom Source Element will not appear on the Source
Elements listing. If you still wish to use this new added Custom Source
Element, you must exit the Source Elements window (Click the Cancel
button), remove the Source Element that belongs to the same Source Group
from use in the Source Definition Screen and then return to the Source
Elements window and select the newly added Custom Source Element.

Visit the Proprietary to TMG page of the TMG Tips web site (URL below) for
more information about Source Elements and Source Groups. Other pages on
the TMG Tips site contain additional information about Sources and Source
Categories.

Hope this helps -
