We are eagerly awaiting version 5, which will be a 36 bit application,
instead of the current 16 bit. There are several other known new features
in v.5, but most of the new features I guess will become known when it's
released. I hope it comes out within the next few months (we've been told
that beta testing is close to ended). It's release has been delayed due to
UFT being discontinued, and I believe that several of the features that
would have been in v.5 were included in the upgrades 4.0a to 4.0d which was
issued to make the transition from UFT to TMG smoother.
If you look at previous release dates, you will find a major upgrade
about once every year. The archived news releases announcing new versions
can be found at www.whollygenes.com/html/press%20releases.htm. Version 3.5
was released May 1998; version 4 was released 20 April 1999; v. 4.0a on 15
Aug 2000, having been delayed from May; v.4.0c on 3 Nov 2000 (b was for UK
users); and v.4.0d (a very minor patch) on 20 Feb 2001.
IMHO, it's an excellent choice. You really can't go wrong with TMG.
