I think you should use a List of Events Report with the following filter:
Sort Date (wide) Is not Empty and
Sort Date (wide) comes before 1890 and
Prin1 Living Flag does not contain N end
The output should contain the Prin 1 ID number.
This will give you all of the individuals in the Prin1 slot that meet your
criteria.
Fix these and then run the same report with Prin 2 in place of Prin 1.
