When working with
a group of people, work in an orderly fashion - with families where I
have many children, I do parents first, then work down through
children. But with a string of ancestors showing mostly the direct
line, I work up the tree view, doing the upper line first, then
gradually working each line below.

Response:

I tried that, and kept getting lost. I then used the pick list filter. I
unchecked Non-primary names, then checked Flag, and selected the Cleaned
flag, setting N. I left the sort by surname. Then, as I finish cleaning a
person view, I change the flag setting, and then press Control-Page Down to
go to the next person alphabetically. Every now and then I open the pick
list and press F7 to refresh the list. This way, I am sure I do not miss
anything.

Well, YIKES! I just went into TMG to make sure I had described the above
procedure correctly. THERE ARE NO NAMES in my picklist! The rest of the
info is there. The accent colors are gone. I can highlight an ID# and
bring up the person, I can even type in a name and bring up the right
person, but the person's name does not appear in the picklist, and those
columns are light gray. The accent colors show in the views, but not on
the picklist. I ran repair - no serious problems found. Could find nothing
in help file about either suppressing the display of names in the picklist
nor how to restore them.

Has anyone had this happen before?

Marty
