Yes, this is the most irritating thing I have ever seen.

On August 19, 2001, Leif B. Kristensen calmed my nerves considerably with
the following:

"It doesn't really crash the FoxPro Engine if you multi-task during report
generation. I suspect that you experience that when you return to TMG, it
shows the message 'Waiting for preview window to be closed or report to
finish printing,' which has perplexed a lot of us. The secret is to use the
Alt-Tab to switch to the report window, because it doesn't show on the task
bar. It will show as a yellow sheet on the icon list.

The few times when TMG really crashes the FoxPro engine, use the Task
Manager to kill NTVDM.EXE which runs the foxw2600.esl process. You shouldn't
have to reboot."

You get to the Task Manager by pressing the [Ctrl][Shift][Esc] keys all at
the same time. Go to processes and delete NTVDM.EXE and all will be right
with the world.
