Hi Glee,

I would suggest that you make a backup using the smallest file
setting. If you are using W2K, make sure you use the right type of
backup. Record the file size of the backup and write to Wholly
Genes.

"By e-mail:
E-mail us with your problem. Please be sure to state a telephone
number and times when we can contact you, together with as much
information you can supply to aid a speedy response."

Include the file size for the backup. They may ask for a copy if it
is not too large.

Download and install the upgrade to TMG 4.0d.

There are two ‘Repair’ methods. Close TMG and run the one from the
Program menu and run it a second time after it reports no errors.

I suspect that you had images in images in Scrapbook in FTM. One of
the many advantages of TMG is that your data is not stored in a
proprietary system. It may take Tech support to do it, but your
data can be recovered even if TMG can not do it. I would never say
that something can't go wrong but having your data in TMG is not the
same as having it in FTM so you will not go through that same issue
again.

You do not say how you got your data from FTM to TMG but just
because FTM can not open your FTM file, don't bet that TMG's
GenBridge can't. If you have images in Scrapbook, they may be lost
but your data may be recoverable. If you imported your existing
data, it is possible you imported a problem that will have to be
corrected before you are fully recovered. I imported a GEDCOM and
have a problem in Places that drives FoxPro nuts but I will have to
live with it until I find the problem.

Once you are fully recovered, I highly recommend that you get images
out of TMG and store them externally.
