They are there because, despite being recorded as step kids, Doug is listed
as the step-kids' _primary_ father. The primary relationship is, by
definition, the one through which blood relationships are calculated.
If you want to record that they are step kids but still have them reflected
on a "descendant" then you're manipulating the definition of
"descendant." If, like some people, you want to do that anyway then you
can put "step child" (or whatever) in the relationship memo and have it
print on the report.
If you don't want them to show up on the report at all, then make Doug a
non-primary father on the kids' screen.
