because it's new and bound to have problems. He's suggesting installing my
current copy of Win98 SE instead. I'm drawn by his argument, given MS's
track record, but would on the other hand like to get improved stability.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Hi Terry,
I'm not usually very interested in the "inner workings" of my computer,
just want to run my programs with as few problems as possible. Your
supplier is not the only one suggesting this! I upgraded to a new computer
about 3 weeks ago and after talking to some friends with computer building
knowledge as well as a long discussion with my trusted supplier of 5 years
(and various upgrades etc.), it seems that they all agreed and I too, made
the decision to stick with my Win98 SE for the time being.
Some might not agree with that, but I, personally, do prefer "the devil
I know" until at least 6 months to a year have past since the release of a
new OS (wonder why? ;-) ).
Just my two cents worth
Astrid
