I teach genealogy courses at 3 local junior colleges and have the good fortune
of having waiting lists of students for each class. For months...and months and
months and months...I've been telling students the newest TMG version was about
to become available...hold off buying a program.
For months....and I mean months and months and months and months....I've been
hearing the new TMG release is imminent.
My reputation is threadbare from stalling and making excuses for the release
delays.......as threadbare as my patience.
Sorry.....but the dated, challenging (by 2001 standards) format of the current
TMG isn't hacking it....and neither is the sad story of repeated implementation
delays.
I'll be suggesting students go for the less expensive, user friendly,
Windows ME compatable, albeit somewhat less powerful (open to opinion given the
state of the art capabilities of today's other off the shelf programs) programs
available to them from any number of discount stores in their area.
Too bad...hate to do it.
If the newest Windows ME compatible release has been made....excuse me....as a
registered TMG user for years I have not been informed of the new release (I'm
sure that notice would have been sent to long time users of the older versions).
And if the newest ME compatible version IS available without this long time
registered user being notified........well........another reason to shop
elsewhere for a program.
