I had considered a dual boot system also but I just didn't want the
added complexity. I think it's sad that HP is not keeping it's driver
library up to date considering the overall quality of their hardware. I
believe it's going to cost them customers.

Mike - I am in love with my little old cheapie HP scanner (ScanJet 5s .

bet you never heard of it :) ). When I went to Windows 2000, I had the
fortune of having a computer built for me and the folks that built it
checked all of the drivers, etc. for all of my peripherals. Like you,
there
is no updated driver for my scanner. My solution was to have the hard
drive
out of my old computer installed as a second hard drive in my new
system.
The old hard drive still has Win98 on it and I use it when I want to
scan.
Now I can just switch back and forth until such time as I am ready to
relinquish my scanner which probably won't be soon unless someone comes
out
with another upright, multi-sheet feed as opposed to a flat bed.
