Thanks to all who provided advice on this issue. Since everything was so
bolloxed up I decided to delete the corrupt file and do a new merge from two
backup datasets. This seems to have resolved all of the problems with the
MSL, MRL, and MPL. The only thing that got lost were the text macros.
Actually as I was lying in bed unable to sleep thinking about this, I got a
funny message on ICQ which I had difficulty getting rid of it and ICQ went
wonky. TMG was open at the same time and I thought that might have
something to do with this.
Was sweating on this one too much to sleep.
