I am in the process of 'tidying up' my records in TMG, and wish to place a
Church name in Details when one is 'not present' or not spelled as I now
require it.
A check of the size of the task shows that there will be about 3100 records
to amend.
The specific requirement would be similar to this:

If Any Baptism City Contains [?] AND Any Baptism Detail 'Is Empty' LET
Baptism Detail = "for example" -'St.Mary's Church' NEXT

The same would be required for the records of Burials, but I have not
looked at the size of that job yet.
I use the first part of the line to identify the places and make a Pick
List of the selected places, then edit Detail, move on to the next in the
Pick List and use F3 to update the Detail record etc. [could be as many as
280 entries!]
Search and Replace in TMG is not 'fine enough' and after a look in John
Cardinal's Utils I can't find anything quite right for the specific task.
Any help would be welcome.
