The advantage is that you can find the woman by her married name in the Picklist, say if you have a source
that uses the married name. Of course this only has value if you are working in a time and/or culture in
which women adopted a married name.

I don't think it has any value in reports, so I would suggest turning off the printing using one of the
methods suggested in this thread. I don't know of any other downside, unless you work a lot with people
who did not use the married name practice, where you would probably want to avoid creating the tags.
