I will address the dread/terror part of your message. The act of importing
data into TMG either via GENBRIDGE or GEDCOM reads your current file and
leaves it intact. IT DOES NOT CHANGE YOUR EXISTING DATA IN ANY WAY.

The dread/terror is not necessary because the absolute worst thing that can
happen is the you go back to your current program without anything being
changed.

Do update to TMG 4.0d first though so you will have the latest software.
