I too am a defector from Generations, although I have version 5.2. The fact
you have a previous version may very well be a plus.(especially if it
utilizes an older GEDCOM standard.) When I transferred my data I used a
GEDCOM and although all did transfer, some things did not connect as they
should. I would advise keeping your data in Generations after transferring.
I don't mean to continue updating, but just as a reference. My database is
not so large that I have gone back and am connecting as necessary. I have
imported older standards with far less trouble so as I said you may be in
luck.
