Hi Ann,
I beleive that it was mentioned that a GEDCOM is in plain text and can
be read in NotePad or a word processor. I would suggest opening the
GEDCOM and find one of the truncated Notes. If it is not complete in
the GEDCOM something would need to be done in Generations, if
possible. As for the muddled notes, I don't know what is happening.
Maybe you can find a clue in the GEDCOM. I suspect that they are being
exported in pieces in one order and TMG is puting them back together
in a different order.
GEDCOM is a weak standard and all too often software developers read
the standard to suit their purposes. If that purpose does not match
what the standard means, then problems arise.
I am not being much help but keep telling the list what you find and
someone may be able to fix each problem. You might also check with
Tech. Support. They may have a way to help.
