I occasionally have a problem opening TMG and Netscape, and perhaps other programs, previously under Win98, and still now under Win XP. A hard boot fixes it, often accompanied by difficulty shutting down. Usually during the shutdown process it becomes apparent that some program stalled while trying to open and that seems to cause problems with opening other programs.
