My understanding is that Witness relationships do not transfer in GedCom
files whereas principles do transfer with all of the information. If that
is correct, wouldn't that be a reason to have the capability of having more
than two principles? Maybe I have misunderstood the transfer issue. If I am
incorrect, please correct my misconception.

Theresa, I did not say we NEED to stay with one principal, I said I have
not seen any great desire for more than one principal and believe that
to add more would require a lot of development and programming effort.
How many principals would you want? 3, 4 more? Say 4. but some want 6.
Then what?
Say 4. Then all the tag sentences would have to be redone. I think
the two principals came about because there are two principals in a
marriage.
And Theresa, do you use tasks and task lists. I think they are a much
better ways to record what sources you want to look at.
