I've been given "narrative text reports" (at least something which should
have been largely *text* and asked to post them to the 'Web. The person
who created them did them in Publisher, and because of the way they did
them, they wound up as all *images*, the page size was about 500K (about
10x what one wants it to be) and it took me about 2 hours to do what should
have been a 10 minute job. Most of it I wound up retyping. At least if
you require GEDCOM, even given the varying quality of GEDCOMs from various
programs, you're guaranteed to have plain text that the program which
auto-creates pages can (probably) understand.

Agreed. I've given up posting GEDCOMs in favor of .pdfs - If you want my
data badly enough, you'll rekey it (or at least cut and paste).
